Description
A matched USMC pattern P1942 reversible camouflage utility uniform set, consisting of a utility jacket and matching utility trousers. This set is styled after the iconic World War II Frogskin (or duck hunter) camouflage uniforms issued to the United States Marine Corps. It is constructed from a robust cotton herringbone twill fabric and is fully reversible. One side features a green-dominant jungle camouflage pattern, while the reverse side displays a brown-dominant beach and desert camouflage pattern.
The jacket is designed with a left chest patch pocket and two lower front pockets on both the green and brown sides. The green-side left chest pocket features a black stenciled block letter stencil reading USMC alongside an Eagle, Globe, and Anchor insignia. The jacket secures with heavy-duty metal snap buttons stamped with U.S. MARINE CORPS on the face.
The matching trousers feature a reversible design corresponding to the jacket patterns, complete with a snap-fastener fly, snap-closure pockets, and side waistband adjustment tabs with drawstrings. No contract labels or sizing stamps are visible on the garments, though a modern plastic garment hanger with an XL size clip is present. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
