Description
This lot consists of two pieces of United States military-style clothing. The first item is a Type B-3 heavy zone flight jacket, a pattern famously utilized by the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. The jacket is constructed of dark brown sheepskin with a thick, cream-colored shearling wool lining. Features include a large shearling-lined collar with dual leather throat straps and buckles, a single exterior map pocket on the right chest, and leather reinforcement patches on the shoulders and arms. It also includes adjustable leather straps and buckles at the waist for a secure fit. No manufacturer labels or identification marks are visible on this garment. The second item is a modern olive drab five-button knit wool sweater, commonly known as a Jeep sweater. The neck label identifies this as a Garrison Collection item issued through the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP). The label includes the DSCP logo and a government web URL, which indicates a manufacturing date between the late 1990s and 2010. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
