Description
This lot features several pieces of tactical communication equipment used by the United States military. The primary component is an AN/PRC-25 radio receiver-transmitter set, identified as model RT-505/PRC-25. The unit is housed in an olive drab metal casing with control knobs for frequency presets, band selection, volume, and squelch. A metal identification plate specifies the manufacturer as Ovitron Corp. The radio is secured within an olive drab canvas ST-138/PRC carrying harness equipped with adjustable web straps and metal hardware. Accompanying the radio is a black H-189/GR handset with a coiled cord and a bundle of metal whip antenna sections, one of which is marked Antenna AT-271 A/PRC. Also included are the internal components of an EE-8-A field telephone. These parts consist of the chassis featuring a hand-crank generator, magneto gears, ringer coils, and a battery compartment with instructions to remove batteries when not in use. Two detached metal panels are present, including one with a yellowed paper schematic label for the Telephone EE-8-A. A TS-9-F handset is included with these components. The outer leather or canvas carrying bag for the telephone is missing. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
