This lot features Canadian silver bullion coins struck by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2017. Each coin is composed of 1.5 troy ounces of .9999 fine silver. The reverse of each piece depicts a grizzly bear standing on a rock in a roaring pose, set against a background of radial security lines. Inscriptions on the reverse include CANADA 2017, FINE SILVER 1 1/2 OZ ARGENT PUR, and the purity 9999. A micro-engraved maple leaf security mark is visible on the lower right field of the reverse. The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Susanna Blunt, with the artist’s initials SB present on the truncation of the neck. Obverse inscriptions include ELIZABETH II, D.G. REGINA, and the 8 DOLLARS face value. The coins are presented in individual clear plastic capsules with white foam ring gaskets and clear acrylic stands. No serial numbers or assay certificates are present.
