Description
World War One Imperial Bavarian certificate for award of the wound badge. The document is pre-printed for the Royal Bavarian 11th Infantry Regiment nicknamed “von der Tann”. in honor of General Ludwig von der Tann-Rathsamhausen, a prominent Bavarian general who led the I Royal Bavarian Corps in the Franco-Prussian War. The wound badge was presented July 8, 1918 to Johann Shummer of Amberg, Bavaria. Document measures 8.1″ x 6.4″.Tape repairs on the back. Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
