Description
World War One Imperial German award certificate lot including an Iron Cross 2nd Class certificate and wound badge certificate awarded to Private Richard Behrendt. The Iron Cross certificate was presented August 6, 1917 and lists Behrendt as a former member of 8th Leib Grenadier Regiment – a prestigious Prussian unit that was heavily engaged on the Western Front. 8.1″ x 6.44″. The Wound Badge certificate was presented August 1, 1918 to Private Behrendt while he was serving in a border protection unit, Company 6. Document measures 6.7″ x 8.5″ Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
