Description
This collection consists of numerous decorative metal buttons, primarily identified as steel cups, presented on two separate display boards labeled Sheet #3 and Page 6. These items are buttons featuring intricate relief work, pierced designs, and various finishes including bronzed and blued surfaces. The specimens incorporate a variety of secondary materials such as faceted glass, enamel, wood, and vegetable ivory. Decorative themes observed across the collection include anchors, heraldic lions, floral motifs, stars, and geometric patterns. The buttons are mounted in circular cutouts on yellow and silver-toned cardstock boards, which include handwritten descriptive notations for individual specimens such as Lion and Shield, Veg. Ivory, and Clawset Blk. Glass. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
