Description
This collection consists of an assortment of antique and vintage buttons presented on several display cards and in individual packaging. The lot features a significant group of Victorian-era black glass buttons, many with intricate molded designs and integral shanks. These glass buttons are categorized by pattern and motif, including examples of twister cord, cross pattee, and nine-point star designs. The collection also includes a commercial card of Slesinger thread buttons dated 1924 and a selection of older fabric-covered buttons, some featuring embroidery or thread-wrapped construction. Several pieces are noted by the collector as potentially dating to the 18th century. The items are organized on descriptive labels and some are preserved in plastic sleeves or small circular containers. Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
