Description
This lot comprises a professional-grade collection of gunsmithing and woodworking tools, featuring specialty kits for stock work and fine carving. The centerpieces of the collection are a Dem-Bart Gun Stock Checkering Tool Kit and several items from AMT. The Dem-Bart kit is the Bill McGuire Special edition and contains six wooden-handled tools, including five checkering tools and one carving tool, housed in the original cardboard box. Two of the checkering tool handles feature handwritten numerals 3 and 9. The AMT components include two wooden storage cases, each containing a set of three brass miniature finger planes with various sole configurations such as flat and convex. Also included is a larger AMT wooden-bodied specialty tool and a red velvet drawstring storage bag bearing the AMT logo. The broader collection features a curved steel drawknife with two red-painted wooden handles, a red plastic-handled rasp with a Surform-style blade, a wooden-handled mallet with a black rubber head, and a black dead-blow hammer with a textured grip. A translucent plastic case contains a precision metal knife handle with four assorted scraper and chisel blades. A small plastic bag contains miscellaneous steel blades and components. Construction materials across the lot include high-grade steel, brass, finished hardwoods, molded plastics, and rubber. Markings include the printed Dem-Bart Gun Stock Checkering Tool Kit and Bill McGuire Special on the cardboard box, and the AMT logo consisting of the letters A, M, and T inside a rounded rectangular border on multiple items. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
