Description
An assortment of sports memorabilia centered on the Ohio State University Buckeyes, primarily focusing on the football program from the 1970s through the early 1990s. The collection includes a variety of official game programs and media guides. Notable programs include the 1971 and 1977 Homecoming games against Wisconsin, the 1978 and 1982 games versus Baylor, and various 1980s matchups against Big Ten opponents such as Illinois, Purdue, Michigan State, Iowa, and Northwestern. Covers feature notable figures such as Coach Woody Hayes, Keith Byars, Tim Spencer, Keith Ferguson, and Cedric Anderson. The lot also includes a 1990 basketball program for a game versus the Latvian National Team and a 2022 Peach Bowl playoff semifinal program featuring Ohio State versus Georgia. Official media and press guides included span the years 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1987. A highlighted item is a framed 1977 color team photograph taken at Ohio Stadium, which includes a printed legend at the bottom margin identifying all players and coaching staff by row. Many of the programs and guides are presented in individual clear plastic protective sleeves. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The items are in good to very good vintage condition. Observable wear includes typical light edge wear, minor corner creasing, and surface scuffing consistent with age and handling. Some pages exhibit slight toning. Several items bear small adhesive price stickers from previous retail sales. The framed photograph appears intact with no significant visible damage to the print or frame.
