Description
An extensive collection of sports trading cards encompassing baseball, football, hockey, racing, and golf from various manufacturers including Topps, Fleer, Upper Deck, Donruss, Score, Action Packed, Pro Set, Traks, and Maxx. The collection features several boxes handwritten as complete sets. Baseball highlights include a 1989 Fleer complete set noted to contain a Ken Griffey Jr. rookie card, a 1987 Fleer set with logo stickers, a factory-sealed 1991 Upper Deck Final Edition set, and a 1989 Donruss complete set. Football highlights include a 1991 Stadium Club Brett Favre rookie card (number 447) in a protective holder, a factory-sealed 1991 Upper Deck High Number series set, a 1994 Fleer set with John Elway (number 165) visible, and various Upper Deck and Score sets from the early 1990s. Hockey highlights include a 1990 Topps factory set of 396 cards, a 1991-1992 Topps set featuring Mario Lemieux (number 1), a 1992-1993 Upper Deck set featuring Joe Juneau (number 33) rookie card, and a 1990 O-Pee-Chee Mario Lemieux (number 1). Racing content includes a binder with a 1995 Action Packed Hendrick Motorsports 8-card set and a 1995 Action Packed Country 101-card set, featuring cards of Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt, and Darrell Waltrip. The collection also contains various Traks and Maxx racing cards featuring Ernie Irvan, Rick Mast, and Rusty Wallace. A factory-sealed Pro Set PGA Tour Special Inaugural Set is included. Cards are housed in professional storage boxes, original packaging, and binder pages, with select star cards in protective top-loaders. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The collection consists of ungraded, raw cards. Several sets remain in original factory shrink-wrap, including the 1991 Upper Deck Baseball Final Edition, 1991 Upper Deck Football High Number Series, and the Pro Set PGA Tour set. Notable star and rookie cards, including the Brett Favre rookie, are stored in protective top-loaders or binder pages. The cardboard storage boxes show various degrees of shelf wear, toning, and handwritten labels. Set completeness has been noted by the previous owner but has not been individually verified card-by-card. Most cards appear to be in well-maintained condition for the era, consistent with being stored in professional boxes and sleeves.
