Description
This is an extensive lot of sports and racing trading cards, primarily dating from the 1990s through the early 2000s. The collection includes hundreds of cards spanning baseball, football, and NASCAR. Major manufacturers represented include Topps, Fleer, Upper Deck, Pinnacle, Donruss, Bowman, Action Packed, and Pacific, along with food-issue brands such as Post and Yoo-hoo.
A significant portion of the lot is dedicated to a specialized collection of Cincinnati Reds Hall of Famer Barry Larkin, containing numerous base cards, inserts, and food-issue releases. Another major component is a NASCAR racing collection featuring stars like Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, and Richard Petty, including Pinnacle insert sets such as Burning Desire and Thunder & Lightning.
Football highlights include oversized Action Packed cards of John Elway, Steve Young, and Dan Marino, as well as various inserts from 1995 Pinnacle and the Impact Power series featuring Brett Favre, Emmitt Smith, and Marshall Faulk. Baseball highlights include three limited-edition 1992 Fleer Rookie Sensations promotional sheets, a group of 1999 Fleer Mystique serial-numbered rookie cards featuring players like Trot Nixon and Mike Lowell, and a boxed Babe Ruth Premium Gold hologram set containing five holograms honoring Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Roger Maris from a limited production of 50,000. Vintage legends are also represented in sepia-toned Ballpark Heroes inserts.
The collection is housed in three-ring binders with nine-pocket pages, individual protective sleeves, and top-loaders. A group of empty vintage hard-plastic top-loader cases is also included. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The cards are in ungraded, raw condition. Based on visual inspection, the majority appear to be in Near Mint to Near Mint-Mint condition with sharp corners and clean edges, appearing to be collector-maintained. Some outer storage materials, such as binder covers and empty plastic cases, show expected minor surface wear and light yellowing consistent with age.
