Description
This lot consists of a diverse assembly of 40 ammunition cartridges and 12 spent brass casings, primarily for rifle and handgun use, presented in a clear plastic bin and a zip-close bag. The collection includes 14 centerfire rifle cartridges housed in a black plastic holder, featuring headstamps for R-P 7mm REM MAG and W-W SUPER 7mm REM MAG. Loose in the storage bin are 21 military-style rifle cartridges, with visible headstamps including norma 7.65 ARG and military surplus rounds marked with factory code 65 and year 89. Additional loose items include 4 small-caliber cartridges, one of which is marked W R A 51, and a single red plastic shotgun shell with a star crimp marked for 7 1/2 shot size. The plastic bag contains 12 spent brass casings alongside a handwritten handloading data card specifying a 160 grain bullet load for 7mm Remington Magnum using 61.0 grains of IMR-4831 powder, FC-215 primers, and W-W brass. This combination of items suggests a mix of factory ammunition, military surplus, and custom handloads. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The items in this lot exhibit signs of varying age and environmental exposure. The brass and copper surfaces show a range of conditions from bright to significantly tarnished or oxidized, particularly on the military surplus rifle rounds which have a darkened, dull patina. The plastic shotgun shell and storage containers are in stable condition. The ammunition appears intact, though the presence of handloading data indicates that some cartridges may be reloads. The spent brass casings show clear primer strikes and minor surface wear.
