Description
This accessory set consists of a rectangular silver-tone metal buckle and a heavyweight brown leather belt. The buckle, produced by Hard Hat Buckles, features scalloped edges and engraved floral scrollwork motifs. The central design features a circular pearloid inlay with a raised metal and enamel emblem of a cab-over-engine semi-truck in the orange-yellow and white livery of Yellow Freight. The word YELLOW is visible on the cab shield of the truck. The reverse of the buckle retains a circular yellow and blue adhesive manufacturer’s label for Hard Hat buckles, located in Owensboro, Kentucky, which includes the text UNION MADE IN USA and the identification number 87-51152. The emblem assembly is secured to the main plate with two flat-head screws. The accompanying brown leather belt features multiple adjustment holes and is stamped with the characters 1 1 3 on the interior.
Buckle width: 3.25 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The buckle is in good vintage condition, showing minor surface scratches and light oxidation consistent with age and use. The leather belt is in heavily distressed condition with significant wear, including surface cracking and creasing throughout.
