Description
This vintage straight razor was marketed by T. H. Summersett of Dayton, Ohio, and manufactured in Germany. The steel blade features a tang stamp on one side reading SNOW BALL. The reverse side of the tang is stamped T. H. SUMMERSETT over DAYTON, O. with an additional stamp near the pivot reading MADE / GERM. The razor is fitted with black celluloid scales held by two metal pins. The item is accompanied by a blue pebbled-texture two-piece cardboard box. One section of the box is stamped in gold lettering with DAYTON B. S. CO. over DAYTON, OHIO. The other section is stamped GOLD BAND.

Fully extended length: 9.5 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The steel blade exhibits surface oxidation, patina, and visible wear from previous sharpening. The black scales appear to be in good condition without cracks. The cardboard box shows significant wear along the edges and at the ends, including surface peeling and material loss.
