Description
This vintage four-way traffic signal is manufactured by Crouse-Hinds and features a yellow-painted metal housing. The internal casing is embossed with the markings Syracuse N.Y. U.S.A. and Crouse-Hinds. The unit is configured with twelve lens openings, three on each of its four sides, containing red, amber, and blue-green plastic lenses. The interior of the signal reveals silvered reflectors and standard screw-base light bulb sockets. It retains its original cast metal mounting bracket and hanging assembly at the top, which includes adjustable hardware and sections of cut electrical wiring. The housing is constructed of individual modular sections bolted together.

Condition report:
The traffic signal exhibits signs of industrial use and long-term exposure. The yellow paint shows widespread scuffing, scratches, and chips, with some areas of surface oxidation on the metal components. Per accompanying documentation, one visor or shield cover is missing from the unit. The plastic lenses and visors show accumulated dust, grime, and minor surface abrasions. The electrical wiring is cut and untested, requiring a full professional inspection and restoration prior to any functional use.
