Description

This is a vintage Evinrude Fisherman outboard boat motor, model 5520, serial number 17726. Based on the model number, this unit is identified as a 5.5 horsepower engine produced in 1960. The motor features a two-cylinder, two-stroke powerhead. It is equipped with a tiller steering handle that includes an integrated twist-grip throttle and a top-mounted manual recoil pull-start assembly. The lower unit is fitted with a three-blade propeller. The engine cowling is removable and features the Evinrude Fisherman branding in period-appropriate graphics. Included with the motor is a folding metal display and service stand with a mounting board that bears a Johnson brand logo. No HIN or engine hour data is present or recorded on the unit. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:

The motor is in used, vintage condition. There is visible surface oxidation on various metal components, along with paint scuffs and accumulated grime on the powerhead and internal parts. The lower unit exhibits paint loss consistent with age and typical use. The exterior cowling shows minor wear and surface marks. This item has not been tested for mechanical functionality or internal condition and is sold as-is for restoration, parts, or display.
