Description

This lot features a 10-point antler rack from a white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) prepared as a skull cap taxidermy mount. The skull cap is covered in a forest green felt material and secured to a wooden plaque with five polished decorative metal tacks. The mount is presented on a shield-shaped wooden plaque with a dark-stained finish. A circular metal medallion is pinned to the lower front of the plaque and is stamped with the year 1978. The reverse side of the plaque features a single metal hanging bracket at the top and multiple small holes from previous mounting hardware. A small yellow adhesive tag is present on the lower left of the plaque face.

Inside spread: 19 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:

The specimen is in good vintage condition. The antlers exhibit natural coloration and texture without visible cracks. The green felt covering is intact. The wooden plaque shows minor surface scuffs and wear consistent with age. The reverse side of the plaque contains several small drill holes from prior mounting.
