Description
The Sound Town METIS-12SPW is a professional active subwoofer designed for live sound reinforcement and portable PA applications. It features a 12-inch low-frequency driver housed within a black-textured wood enclosure. The front is protected by a heavy-duty, circular-perforated black metal grille featuring the brand logo. The cabinet is designed for durability and ease of transport, equipped with two recessed side handles, plastic corner protectors, and a top-mounted 35mm pole socket for satellite speaker mounting. The rear amplifier panel provides comprehensive connectivity including two balanced XLR-1/4 inch combo inputs, two unbalanced RCA inputs, and two balanced XLR outputs for signal pass-through. Control features include a volume (VOL) adjustment knob, a low-pass filter (LPF) knob adjustable from 40Hz to 80Hz, a polarity switch (Normal/Inverted), and a toggle for the front LED indicator. The panel includes LED status lights for power, signal, and clipping. The unit features a selectable AC power input for 115V or 230V operation, a dedicated power rocker switch, and a standard IEC power inlet. A label on the rear panel identifies the model as METIS-12SPW with serial number 2107721092320819 and indicates manufacture in China. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
This subwoofer is in good, pre-owned condition with visible signs of regular use. There is accumulated dust on the cabinet surfaces and within the metal grille perforations. The black textured finish shows minor scuffs and surface wear, primarily along the edges and on the bottom surface. All control knobs, switches, and input/output ports are physically intact. A standard IEC power cable is included. The internal driver and electronic components have not been tested for audio performance or output quality.
