Description

Gibson RB-100 5-string open-back banjo featuring a dark-stained wood neck and a multi-ply wood rim. The rosewood fingerboard is equipped with pearloid dot inlays and 22 frets. The headstock displays a gold Gibson script logo. The interior of the wood rim is stamped with the serial number 0-7523-16. Hardware includes a single metal coordinator rod, a standard nickel-plated tailpiece, and a side-mounted armrest. The head is made of white synthetic material and the bridge is constructed of wood and ebony. This lot includes a vintage brown chipboard hardshell case with a red Black Diamond Strings label inside.

Rim Diameter: 11 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:

Fair to good vintage condition. There is a prominent crack and separation in the laminated wood rim located near the neck joint. The headstock finish shows chipping and wear, particularly on the upper edges. General surface wear, scratches, and finish checking are evident on the neck and rim. Metal hardware is tarnished with visible surface corrosion. The synthetic head is soiled with dark staining. The included hardshell case is in poor condition with broken structural elements and significant wear to the interior lining.
