Description
This wall-mounted sculpture is crafted from a single piece of carved wood, exhibiting a prominent natural grain and smooth finish. The piece features an elongated, abstract organic form characteristic of the mid-century modern period, sweeping upward at one end. A small circular indentation is located at the front, and the central portion displays a raised relief carving with six vertical notched details. The silhouette is evocative of a stylized bird or nautical form. The reverse is flat and unfinished, with an attached metal hanging wire and two rectangular areas of adhesive residue where labels were previously located. No maker marks, signatures, or inscriptions are present on the piece.

Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The sculpture is in good vintage condition. The finished front surface displays scattered light surface scratches and several small dark spots. The reverse is roughly finished and shows significant adhesive residue. The hanging hardware is securely attached.
