Description
This framed cross-stitch needlework features a horizontal composition of eight stylized, faceless figures dressed in colorful traditional garments, identified as Amish-style dolls or children. The figures are separated by geometric star-like motifs and are executed in multi-colored embroidery floss on a tan even-weave fabric ground. The piece is mounted with a wide tan mat and housed in a black-finished frame behind glass. The reverse of the backing board is inscribed with JOANI ’77 in marker and features a paper gallery label for Fifth Avenue Galleries, INC. of Columbus, Ohio.

Height: 10.5 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. The needlework and mat appear well-preserved under glass with no visible staining, fading, or loose threads. The frame shows minor surface scuffs and wear consistent with age and handling. The reverse is currently wrapped in protective plastic.
