Description
Assortment of antique and vintage doll parts and components, including pieces by manufacturer Armand Marseille. The collection features a variety of doll heads: a bisque shoulder-plate head marked with a circular logo containing a stylized M, Germany, 128, and 14/0; a large bisque socket head with an empty eye cavity; a composition head with painted facial features; and a plastic head with a lace bonnet. The lot includes multiple cloth and kid leather torsos and limbs, some retaining attached bisque extremities. Also present is a large quantity of detached arms and legs in bisque, porcelain, composition, and plastic, with some sets of small porcelain hands in original retail packaging. Footwear components consist of four black bisque boots and a single brown leatherette boot. A small bisque doll is included with handwritten pencil markings on the reverse that appear to read Dolly and Daughter. Several items retain vintage retail price tags and labels. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
All items are in used, as-found condition. Bisque and porcelain elements show surface soiling, small chips, and minor abrasions. Cloth and kid leather components exhibit staining, fragility, and age-related wear. The larger bisque socket head is missing its eye mechanism. Composition and plastic pieces show surface wear and scattered paint loss.
