Description
This lot features a single Daisy Model 1894 lever-action BB air rifle, designed as a commemorative carbine styled after the classic Winchester Model 1894. The rifle is chambered for standard .177 caliber BBs and is constructed with a blued metal barrel shroud and receiver. The furniture consists of a molded polymer stock and forearm featuring a distinctive swirled faux-wood grain pattern. It is equipped with a fixed blade front sight and an adjustable rear leaf sight, along with a side-mounted saddle ring with an attached leather tie. The rifle is accompanied by a brown leather scabbard featuring ornate floral tooling and a shoulder strap, with the Daisy logo embossed in gold-tone lettering. Key markings transcribed from the barrel include the model designation MODEL 1894, ROGERS, ARKANSAS, U.S.A., REG. NO. L737691, and patent information PAT. NO. 2,758,586 & NO. 3,245,392. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the Daisy bullseye logo. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. Condition report:
The air rifle is in fair condition. The blued finish on the metal components shows visible wear, scratches, and scattered surface oxidation, particularly at the muzzle, barrel bands, and buttplate. The molded polymer stock exhibits a significant chip and vertical cracking where it meets the receiver tang on both sides. The bore appears relatively clean for a smoothbore air rifle. The lever action cocks and the trigger releases, suggesting the mechanical components are intact, though the air compression system has not been function-tested with projectiles. The leather scabbard and sling are in good condition with minor surface scuffs and pliable leather.
