Description
This grouping consists of an assortment of mid-20th century United States Army insignia, primarily representing the 2nd Infantry Division and associated infantry regiments. The collection includes several shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) for the 2nd Infantry Division, featuring the distinctive white star and Indian head design on a black shield in various construction styles. Two circular Third US Army patches with the letter A are present, along with multiple embroidered Specialist rank patches on olive drab backgrounds. The metal insignia include four enameled distinctive unit insignia (DUI) pins for the 17th Infantry Regiment featuring a golden griffin and the motto Noli Irritare Leonem. There are two DUI pins for the 9th Infantry Regiment bearing the motto Keep Up The Fire, one in silver tone and one in gold tone, and a single DUI pin for the 6th Infantry Regiment. Military badges include a miniature Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) and an Expert Marksmanship qualification badge with three suspended bars inscribed Rifle, Carbine, and Pistol. The collection is rounded out by several enlisted collar disks, including four US disks and one crossed rifles infantry branch disk, several of which feature infantry-blue plastic backings. One pin reverse displays the incised hallmark 10, identifying the manufacturer as His Lordship Products, Inc. of New York.

Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
