Description
This lot features a pair of standardized US military aviation goggles, designated model AN-6530, which were utilized by both Army and Navy aircrews during World War II. The central hinged bridge of the metal frames is stamped with the characters A-N over 6530. The frames include tubular venting and are accompanied by an original face cushion assembly consisting of molded rubber with a leather backing. Included in this lot is a separate pair of uninstalled amber glass replacement lenses in their original cardboard box. The box label identifies the contents as LENSES; GOGGLE, FLYING with Specif. No. AN-DD-L-236, Part No. 33A5022-4, and Cont. No. W535AC 27740, manufactured by the American Optical Company. The lenses remain wrapped in their original protective paper. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
