Description
This garment is a winter combat jacket, commonly known as a tanker jacket, designed in a style consistent with mid-20th century U.S. military specifications. The exterior is constructed from a heavy olive drab cotton twill, while the interior is lined with a dense brown wool blanket material. The jacket features olive drab rib-knit wool at the collar, cuffs, and waistband. Construction details include two front slash pockets and a bi-swing action back designed for increased shoulder mobility. The front closure is a heavy-duty metal Talon zipper with a characteristic circular ring-pull slider. A white fabric tag printed with 42R is sewn into the interior neck area. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
