Description
A collection of United States military field equipment and personal effects spanning World War II through the Cold War era. A primary item in this lot is a Vietnam War period olive drab coated nylon poncho, interior stamped with a contract label for Electro Plastic Fabrics, Inc., dated November 3, 1966 (DSA-100-2137). The lot includes an M1916 pattern leather holster for the M1911 pistol, embossed with a U.S. oval on the flap. Canvas web gear is represented by an assortment of magazine pouches, including M1 Carbine patterns, M1936 style pistol belts with brass hardware, and a tan musette style general-purpose field bag. Two one-quart plastic canteens are included, housed in insulated canvas covers with metal snap closures. The assortment also contains an inert M26 or M67 style training grenade and canvas carriers consistent in design with M6A2 or M17 series gas mask bags. Military ephemera consists of a black vinyl garment bag from The Marine Shop in Quantico, Virginia, featuring a gold-toned Eagle, Globe, and Anchor logo, and a 1982 Information Pamphlet for the Career Development of Enlisted Members of the United States Army Reserve. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
