Description
A collection of volumes from The Old West series published by Time-Life Books. Each volume is bound in the publisher’s signature brown embossed faux-leather featuring elaborate decorative scrollwork and floral motifs in relief on both the front and back covers. The front covers contain a circular pictorial inset depicting scenes related to the specific volume’s historical subject matter, including portraits of Native American leaders, pioneer wagons, and frontier towns. The spines are finished with gilt-stamped lettering and decorative bands. Transcribed titles within this collection include The Townsmen, The Texans, The Rivermen, The Trailblazers, The Pioneers, The Indians, The Expressmen, The Railroaders, The Soldiers, The Cowboys, The Gunfighters, The Forty-Niners, and The Great Chiefs. These volumes were issued without dust jackets. The books are quarto in size and feature numerous period photographs, maps, and illustrations. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
