The assortment includes Defend the Realm: The Authorized History of MI5 by Christopher Andrew (Knopf); Kennedy’s Avenger: Assassination, Conspiracy, and the Forgotten Trial of Jack Ruby by Dan Abrams and David Fisher; Bravo Two Zero by Andy McNab (Dell); Eisenhower at War 1943-1945 by David Eisenhower (Random House); Boone: A Biography by Robert Morgan (Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill); For the Common Defense: A Military History of the United States of America by Allan R. Millett and Peter Maslowski (Free Press); Marine! The Life of Chesty Puller by Burke Davis; Wild Bill: The True Story of the American Frontier’s First Gunfighter by Tom Clavin (St. Martin’s Press); The Court-Martial of George Armstrong Custer by Douglas C. Jones (Scribner’s); By Honor and Right: How One Man Boldly Defined the Destiny of a Nation by John C. Jackson; Edison: A Biography by Matthew Josephson (McGraw-Hill); War on the Run: The Epic Story of Robert Rogers and the Conquest of America’s First Frontier by John F. Ross (Bantam); Hazardous Duty: An American Soldier in the Twentieth Century by Major General John K. Singlaub with Malcolm McConnell; and Brute: The Life of Victor Krulak, U.S. Marine by Robert Coram (Little, Brown). Most volumes are bound in publisher’s cloth or paper-covered boards and retain their original dust jackets. One volume, For the Common Defense, is bound in plain brown textured cloth and lacks its dust jacket. The books are typically octavo in format and contain various maps, photographic plates, and archival illustrations as issued. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
