This lot comprises a collection of books, magazines, and binders focusing on military history, uniforms, and firearms from the 19th century to the present. Significant hardcover volumes with dust jackets include Encyclopedia of Elite Forces in the Second World War by Michael E. Haskew (Amber Books), Special Forces at WAR: An Illustrated History, Southeast Asia 1957-1975 by Shelby L. Stanton (Zenith Press), Larry Burrows: Vietnam with an introduction by David Halberstam (Knopf), and They Called Us Lucky: The Life and Afterlife of the Iraq War’s Hardest Hit Unit by Ruben Gallego with Jim DeFelice. Other prominent works include South Vietnam on Trial from The Vietnam Experience series (Boston Publishing Company), the VFW 125th Anniversary commemorative book In My Words: The Oral History Project (2024), and a pictorial hardcover titled World War II Collectors Edition: The Road to Tokyo. Softcover and specialty publications include When the Smoke Cleared at Gettysburg by George Sheldon, Uniforms of the Elite Forces by Leroy Thompson and Michael Chappell (Blandford Colour Series), and a spiral-bound manual titled Organization and Insignia of the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces 1955-1975 by Dennis C. Katallo. The collection also features a 1968 TET Vietnam Collector Calendar and several periodicals: American Rifleman (September and October 2024), Military Surplus (2015), and Semper Fi: The Magazine of the Marine Corps League (Winter 2022). Additionally, two three-ring binders are included: one blue cloth binder with Combined Operations printed on the spine and one blue plastic binder containing various military-related clippings and magazine articles. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
