Description
A United States Marine Corps utility shirt dating from the Vietnam War era. This Type III pattern garment is constructed from heavy olive green (OG-107) cotton sateen fabric. The field shirt features a front closure utilizing four-hole olive drab plastic buttons and matching buttoned cuffs. Two patch pockets are positioned on the chest, characterized by pointed, button-down flaps. The left breast pocket is marked with a black ink stencil featuring the USMC Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem with the letters U S M C stenciled vertically adjacent to the globe. The name R. P. MASON is stenciled in black ink above the left breast pocket and again on the interior neck area for identification. A white fabric manufacturer label is sewn into the interior collar, though the printing is washed out and no longer legible. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
