Description

A United States Marine Corps utility shirt dating from the Vietnam War era. This Type III pattern garment is constructed from heavy olive green (OG-107) cotton sateen fabric. The field shirt features a front closure utilizing four-hole olive drab plastic buttons and matching buttoned cuffs. Two patch pockets are positioned on the chest, characterized by pointed, button-down flaps. The left breast pocket is marked with a black ink stencil featuring the USMC Eagle, Globe, and Anchor emblem with the letters U S M C stenciled vertically adjacent to the globe. The name R. P. MASON is stenciled in black ink above the left breast pocket and again on the interior neck area for identification. A white fabric manufacturer label is sewn into the interior collar, though the printing is washed out and no longer legible. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
