Description
This trio of United States Marine Corps winter service uniform items includes two double-breasted overcoats and one pair of matching service trousers. The components are constructed of forest green wool, characteristic of the USMC winter service uniform from the mid-20th century. Both overcoats feature a double-breasted closure with standard USMC brown composition buttons embossed with an eagle and fouled anchor design surrounded by thirteen stars. One overcoat includes a matching wool belt with a metal frame buckle. The other overcoat is adorned with red on forest green Private First Class rank chevrons on both sleeves. The trousers feature a button fly, belt loops, and rear button-down pocket flaps. The interior waistband is lined in off-white cotton canvas and is stamped with the name R. F. DORAN in black ink. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
