Description
This lot comprises an assortment of mid-20th century apparel and gear related to the United States military, Boy Scouts of America, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. The group includes a US Army olive drab M-1951 parka shell with a printed interior specification label identifying the item as a Parka, Shell, M-1951. Also present are two US Navy wool jumpers in the crackerjack pattern, including an example with three-stripe piping on the collar and cuffs. Service organization items feature a khaki cotton Boy Scouts of America shirt with multiple patches identifying the wearer as a Scoutmaster for Unit 15, and a khaki shirt with a Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1060 shoulder patch. The collection is rounded out by olive drab wool knit gloves, an olive drab garrison cap, a white web belt, and a worn black leather belt marked PREMIER LEATHER. Several pairs of khaki and navy blue trousers in cotton twill and wool blends are included in the lot. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
