Description
A collection of United States Marine Corps (USMC) combat uniform items attributed to service member R.P. Mason, spanning the Vietnam War through the early 1980s. The lot includes an ERDL pattern tropical combat coat in the green leaf variant, marked with contract DSA 100-68-C-2551 by Henderson Mfg. Co., Inc., size Small Short. Also present are multiple OG-107 5th pattern ripstop tropical combat coats (jungle jackets), including one with a 1970 contract date (DSA 100-70-C-0247) by Richard Wynn Enterprises Inc., size Medium Regular. These garments feature sewn USMC Eagle, Globe, and Anchor patches and name tapes. The lot also includes an M-1965 field jacket in Olive Green 107 featuring a 1983 dated liner (DLA100-83-C-0573) by Gibraltar Industries, Inc. Completing the collection are several pairs of olive green tropical combat trousers in wind-resistant poplin and ripstop cotton, and one olive green boonie sun hat with a chin strap. Most pieces are identified to R.P. Mason through sewn-on tapes, interior stencils, or handwritten marks on the manufacturer labels. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
