Description
A United States Army Cold War era M-1950 pattern overcoat, also known as a trench coat. The outer shell is constructed from olive drab cotton or cotton/nylon sateen fabric. The design features a double-breasted front with two rows of large plastic buttons, notched lapels, and shoulder epaulettes. It includes an integrated waist belt with a rectangular buckle and adjustable button-tab cuffs. The interior contains a removable, button-in heavy wool liner in a darker olive drab shade for cold weather protection. The interior lining of the shell is hand-marked in blue ink with the officer’s name and service number: Lt R.W. BRIGGS and 01946002. No manufacturer labels, contract dates, or size tags are visible in the provided images. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
