Description
A United States military aviation survival vest, designated as Type SRU-21/P, manufactured in 1975. The garment is constructed from sage green nylon fabric and was designed for use by Air Force and Navy pilots and aircrew. It features an array of specialized external pockets intended to carry survival components such as a radio, signaling mirror, flares, and first aid supplies. The vest incorporates an adjustable webbing strap system with metal D-rings and spring hooks. Fasteners include heavy-duty metal zippers and blackened metal directional snaps stamped with Pull the Dot. The interior includes multiple large green hook-and-loop panels for securing internal gear pouches.
