Description
A United States Army Enlisted Mens melton wool overcoat, produced during the World War II era. This heavy-weight garment is constructed from olive drab wool in a double-breasted configuration. It features wide convertible lapels and a six-button front closure. The reverse of the coat is designed with a horizontal half-belt secured by two buttons and a deep central box pleat extending to the hem. The interior is partially lined with olive drab cotton twill and includes internal patch pockets. The garment is fitted with dark brown composite buttons molded in relief with the Great Seal of the United States, featuring an eagle with a shield, olive branch, and arrows. The interior lining near the neck area is stamped with the size 40 R. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
