Description
This is a United States Marine Corps utility cover, commonly known as an 8-point cap, dating from the Vietnam War era. The cap is constructed from Olive Green 107 (OG-107) cotton sateen fabric. The front panel features a black stenciled USMC Eagle, Globe, and Anchor (EGA) emblem. Physical characteristics include a reinforced visor with concentric rows of stitching and two metal-rimmed ventilation grommets on each side of the crown. The interior demonstrates a pleated crown construction typical of this pattern. No manufacturer labels, contract numbers, or size stamps are visible. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
