Description
This lot comprises an assortment of United States military apparel and individual equipment. The collection includes a US Army Woodland camouflage Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) coat, size Medium-Short. The coat features sewn-on Sergeant (E-5) rank chevrons, a “MASON” nametape, and a “U.S. ARMY” branch tape. The left sleeve bears a subdued 50th Armored Division patch, while the right sleeve displays a full-color 7th Transportation Group patch. The interior collar label is marked with Stock No. 8415-01-184-1329 and NATO size 6070/9404.
Included is a pair of off-white knit winter drawers with a detailed black ink stamp on the waistband. The stamp identifies the item as Drawers, Winter, 50% Cotton 50% Wool White, manufactured by Faith Mills Inc., dated September 22, 1948, under U.S. Army Spec. No. 8-138. The garment is marked as size Small.
The lot further contains a pair of OG-107 cotton sateen fatigue trousers featuring patch pockets and a button-fly closure. Several khaki items are present: a long-sleeve uniform shirt with two button-flap chest pockets and three pairs of khaki trousers in varying patterns. These include a vintage button-fly pattern, a pair with a Talon brand zipper fly, and a pair with a commercial Made in U.S.A. label.
Rounding out the collection is a navy blue heavy twill or wool shirt-jacket with a button-front and button cuffs, resembling a US Navy CPO style garment. Also included is a set of adjustable olive drab webbing trouser suspenders with brown leather attachment tabs. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
