Description
An early military wool Imperial German Prussian Infantry Dunkelblau (dark blue) Waffenrock, representative of the M1895 pattern used prior to the 1910 introduction of field gray. The tunic is composed of a dark blue wool body with red wool facings on the collar, Brandenburg-style cuffs, and shoulder straps. Red piping accents the front opening and rear skirt seams. The interior is finished with a dark linen or cotton lining. The shoulder straps are plain red without visible numbers or monograms. No manufacturer stamps, Bekleidungsamt (depot) marks, or dates are discernable on the garment. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
