Description
A collection of vintage ballistic body armor and components associated with Sgt. R. Mason, primarily consisting of equipment from the 1990s. The lot includes a dark blue Point Blank Body Armor external carrier vest, identified as Model 15 (Type IIA). This vest features a front pocket with the name MASON and a red, white, and blue manufacturer logo. Interior labels indicate a manufacture date of February 12, 1991, in Amityville, NY. The ballistic panels are constructed of 100 percent DuPont Kevlar.
Also included is a navy blue and white Protech Armored Products concealable carrier vest, Model PTA T2. This vest is rated at Threat Level Type II and is dated April 30, 1998. The exterior of this carrier is handwritten with the name SGT. R. MASON. The collection is completed by two loose soft ballistic panels. One panel is manufactured by Second Chance and belongs to the Super series, likely Super-Featherlite. The second panel is of undetermined manufacture. All items feature textile construction with hook-and-loop fastening systems.
