Description
This set of WWII U.S. Army Air Forces winter flying gear includes a Type B-2 flying cap and a pair of Type A-9 trigger-finger mittens. Both items are constructed of sheepskin leather with a natural shearling fleece lining. The Type B-2 cap features a rigid leather visor and foldable earflaps. The Type A-9 mittens feature a separate trigger finger and long gauntlet cuffs. One mitten contains a manufacturer label with the following information: SPEC NO. 94-3070-A, SIZE SMALL, ORDER NO. (33-038) 44-6530AF, BAC NO. F35-V-AN CORP, PROPERTY AIR FORCES, U.S. ARMY. One mitten also retains an external black cloth tag with SMALL embroidered in yellow thread. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
