Description

This collection includes a variety of military equipment and personal items, with a primary focus on United States Marine Corps (USMC) service. A central item is a M1 helmet liner, finished in glossy blue paint with a pinned Sergeant (E-5) rank insignia on the front. The interior of the liner is stamped US 25 and contains extensive handwritten identification in black ink: SGT R. MASON USMC / 2389693 / 2nd I.T.R. S-3 / TACTICS & WPNS SECT / INSTRUCTOR STAFF. This identifies the original owner as an instructor at the 2nd Infantry Training Regiment at Camp Lejeune, with a service number corresponding to the mid-to-late Vietnam era.

The lot also includes a pair of black rubber Extreme Cold Weather (ECW) boots, commonly known as Mickey Mouse boots, featuring air pressure equalization valves. The soles are marked with characters indicating manufacture in Korea. Tactical equipment includes a black plastic battery holder for a man-pack radio, marked BATTERY HOLDER, BH-386 B/PRC, and TELEMIT, compatible with AN/PRC-77 series radios. A tan heavy canvas equipment bag is included, stenciled in black ink with BRIGGS USMC.

Additional military and textile items include two rolled olive drab wool blankets, a green cotton protective hood or storage bag, and a tan khaki canvas M1961 style pistol belt with horizontal weave and brass hardware.

Personal and civilian items within the lot consist of an Imperial brand stainless steel fillet knife with a white plastic handle, brass rivets, and an accompanying brown leather sheath. A Marlboro promotional Storming Silver western-style belt buckle is included in its original 2002 dated packaging. Apparel items include a gray wool beret (size 7 1/4), a white cotton Zees brand undershirt, and a gray short-sleeve t-shirt with a pocket logo for the Licking County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #127 Golf Outing.
