Description
This lot features an eclectic collection of household goods, decorative objects, and military-related items. The metalware is highlighted by a large hammered copper coffee pot with a fixed handle and hinged lid. Also included is an assortment of copper mugs featuring tin-lined interiors and copper-colored handles, two large polished copper plates, a small bulbous lidded copper pot with a faceted yellow knob, and a hammered copper crumb tray bearing an illegible stamped mark. Two contemporary stainless steel pitchers and a pair of wrought iron hooks are also present. The woodenware and natural material items include a set of nested bowls and rectangular trays likely made from monkey pod or a similar tropical hardwood, a natural dried gourd ladle, a wooden mallet, and a natural horn container with a wooden plug incised with the letter S. The militaria and clothing category contains an embroidered felt patch for the 3rd Marine Division, a quilted olive green insulated cold weather cap, a wide brown leather strap, and a pair of hand-stitched leather moccasins. Four hand-dipped taper candles complete the lot.
Coffee pot: 10.5 inches height. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
