Description
This collection features a United States military Large ALICE (All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment) field pack mounted on an external olive drab tubular metal frame. The pack is constructed of olive drab nylon and includes three large external lower pouches and three smaller upper pouches. Accompanying the pack is a standard-issue L-shaped angle-head flashlight embossed with U.S. MX-991/U on the housing. The flashlight includes a belt clip, a multi-position switch with a signaling button, and an integrated red lens filter. A machete is included, featuring a dark carbon steel blade and a dark wood handle secured by three metal rivets. The machete is housed in a khaki canvas sheath with a metal throat and five snap closures. The set also includes two one-quart plastic canteens in canvas covers with metal ALICE attachment clips and two-snap closures. Additional items include a rolled olive drab moisture-resistant mat and a rolled shelter half or tarp secured to the pack frame with webbing straps.
