Description
This lot consists of a diverse collection of United States military insignia, rank patches, and related equipment spanning from the World War II era through the Vietnam War. U.S. Army items include several olive drab cotton webbing name tapes with black embroidered text reading U.S. ARMY, as well as cloth rank chevrons in olive drab and khaki. Identifiable Army ranks include First Sergeant (E-8), Master Sergeant (E-7), Sergeant First Class (E-6), and Sergeant (E-5). U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) items feature various chevron styles, including red-on-green, gold-on-red, and subdued variants. Several USMC patches include the crossed rifles insignia introduced in 1959. Multiple items remain in original packaging or on yellow cardboard backings from the Officers Equipment Company of Coral Gables, Florida. The lot contains multiple sets of service stripes (hash marks) used to denote years of service. Ephemera includes a vintage paper instructional pamphlet titled USE of the PACKBOARD GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS providing diagrams for loading M1943 or M1950 packboards. Additional items include a khaki cotton web belt with a gold-tone metal friction buckle, two hinged presentation cases with velvet linings, and several metal uniform buttons featuring the eagle and anchor motif associated with the USMC and U.S. Navy.

Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
