Description
An assortment of US Army Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI) and one European-African-Middle Eastern (EAME) Campaign Medal ribbon bar, dating to the World War II and immediate post-war occupation period. The collection includes two 325th Infantry Regiment (Airborne) pins, shield-form with a blue diagonal band containing three crosses, a red segment with a lightning bolt, and a green mermaid motif above a scroll reading ESSE QUAM VIDERI. One is marked ROBBINS CO ATTLEBORO and the other DAWSON CO CLEVE O. Two 504th Infantry Regiment (Airborne) pins feature a blue arrowhead on a white field; both are theater-made and marked LAUER N.B.G. on the reverse, indicating production in Nuremberg, Germany. One 502nd Infantry Regiment (Airborne) pin depicts a golden eagle talon on a blue field with a STRIKE motto scroll. One 40th Infantry Regiment pin features a light blue field with circles and fleur-de-lis and the motto SEE IT THROUGH, marked DAWSON CO CLEVE O. One 13th Infantry Regiment pin features a blue field with a gold band and flaming torch and the motto UT VIRI VOLENT, marked LAUER N.B.G. The EAME ribbon bar is a standard pin-back issue with brown, green, white, black, red, and blue stripes.
Individual pins measure approximately 1 inch to 1.25 inches in height. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale. Please carefully look at all photos (up to 100 in some cases on our in-house platform) to judge for yourself what you are buying. All sales are final. Our in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Wednesday, July 15, from Noon to 5 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
