Description
This lot consists of two fixed blade knives, each with a corresponding sheath. The first knife is a custom piece with a blade fashioned from a repurposed metal file. The original cross-hatched file texture is clearly visible on the flats of the blade. The tang is stamped with the letters RW near the bolster. The handle is constructed of wood scales secured with three brass pins and includes a polished metal bolster. It is paired with a leather sheath that is elaborately decorated with a full seed bead cover in a geometric pattern of light blue, yellow, red, orange, and dark green, a style often associated with Northern Plains or Sioux beadwork. The second item is a utility knife featuring a polished steel blade stamped INDIA on the spine of the tang. The handle is made of dark-stained wood with a through-tang construction and a decorative three-part inlay at the pommel. This knife includes a simple brown leather belt sheath with a stitched edge and a copper-toned rivet.
