Description
This lot consists of a pair of brown pebble-grained leather ankle boots and a pair of matching wrap-around leather gaiters. The boots feature a cap-toe design with triple-row stitching and a lacing system composed of seven pairs of metal-reinforced eyelets. The soles are constructed from black composition rubber with a diamond-textured tread pattern. Visible markings on the soles include a circular stamp containing the letters KL over the numeral 2, representing the Koninklijke Landmacht or Royal Netherlands Army, alongside the number 8207 and another circular mark containing 2 M. The accompanying gaiters are shaped for the lower leg with a leather-covered metal stay, brass-colored metal lacing studs, and a top leather strap with a rectangular metal buckle. The interiors of the gaiters feature an ink stamp with the sequence 16 15 734 L30 and the word COWHIDE in block letters.
Sole length: 11.5 inches. We do our best to describe all items in the sale, and we definitely take a ton of photos. But, we are not able to guarantee authenticity or era of items in the sale.
